In 2024 I graduated (cum laude) from my LL.M.-degree on copyright and AI.

As a musician you deal with copyrights and rights management all the time. 

I'm a firm believer of managing those rights collectively, not only because collective management makes it possible to negotiate the fairest remuneration for my music, but also because it gives me more time to spend on making music.

Since 2012 I've been involved in various organizations as board member, supervisory board member, President, and member of the Members Council. 

 Currently I'm chair of BAM! (Dutch Songwriters Society), President of CIAM (International Council of Music Creators), board member of the Popcoalitie (a Dutch coalition of organizations within the popsector), member of the Members Council of Sena (Neighbouring Rights Organization). 

Previously, I've held positions at BumaStemra (vice-chair of the supervisory board of this Dutch copyright collecting society), and at ECSA (board member of this European Composers and Songwriters Association).
